Located in Columbia, SC, the SSC Team at Richland 2 Team is doing their part to elevate the student experience and deliver premier status to the district. With over 28,000 students learning in 27+ schools, Custodial Service in the district is no small task. Add to the scale of the district are the complications of a pandemic, challenging hiring market, and struggling economy. However, they aren’t sweating. Why? Family.
Celebrating a 10-Year Contract Extension
Led by Larry (Sim) Williams along with an accomplished group of Unit Directors, the leadership team has created a culture of family. Together, the team navigated all the challenges of the past 18 months in grand style by earning a 10-year contract extension through a competitive RFP process in May.
The close-knit and successful team at Richland 2 is loved by all within the district. What sets this team apart and allows them to operate at the highest level are the relationships developed between the SSC team and the teachers, principals, and staff. Colleagues, teachers, and principals will pop out of their offices every day to say hello as the team works, and when you walk the halls as a visitor with the team, they will tell you all about what a great job SSC does at their school.
