SSC Attends Ribbon Cutting for Jasper County Athletic Stadium
Following the announcement of a comprehensive renovation to the Ridgeland High School Athletic Stadium in the summer of 2021, SSC, Jasper County Schools, McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture, and Cranston Engineering. C. Merrill Construction, LLC. kicked off a year of hard work creating a state-of-the-art facility for students in the district.
This August, our team had the opportunity to attend the ribbon cutting at the brand new facility, which features a brand-new track, a new synthetic turf field, state-of-the-art lighting, a new parking lot, and a dedicated bus loop for public transportation. With these facilities, Jasper County Schools are equipped to host large football games and regional track and field events.
John Camiscioni, Senior Project Manager with SSC, oversaw the renovations throughout the past year. When reflecting on the process and the resulting facilities, Camiscioni recognized not only the hard work of everyone involved but also the opportunities to come:
"This stadium is a great opportunity to see how Dr. Anderson has been working to provide students with everything they need to be successful. We are excited for this project to come full circle and are eager to see the school and community utilize this new space."
John Camiscioni, Senior Project Manager
A special thank you to SSC Lead Project Manager Ben Castillo, Jasper County Schools Chief Financial Officer Ms. Carter, and Director of IT Mr. Shaun Shelton for their ongoing support and dedication to this project. The ribbon cutting can now be viewed online on the Jasper County School District Facebook page.
